We have organised this tour to include Brazil’s four top tourist attractions so you can discover the most important places in a short time frame.

This package is a true tour to the heart of Brazil starting in the south with a nature stage and the amazing water falls near Foz d’Iguacu on the Argentine border. Then on to the famous “Cidade Maravilhosa”, the mythical Rio de Janeiro.

Next, it’s up to the northern part of the country and a cultural stop in Salvador de Bahia with its remarkable colonial heritage. Finally, the tour reaches its climax with a stay in the middle of the Amazon tropical rainforest in a hotel on stilts, the Juma Lodge . It takes 3 hours by boat and vehicle to reach it from Manaus.

The first destination on our tour is Foz d’Iguacu and its water falls listed as a UNESCO world heritage site.

Here you will find yourself in front of the powerful and impressive element of cascading water.

Two excursions with a guide will allow you to explore these amazing cataracts in the best conditions. As U.S. first lady Eleanor Roosevelt repordetly said when seeing this wonder of the world: “Poor Niagra.”

Climb the hills of Samba capital and admire the magnificent bay!

The second stop on this Must See tour of Brazil has is the famous Rio de Janeiro.

With guided tours and free time you will explore the most important parts of the town, the Corcovado hills, the Copacabana beaches and the famous Maracana stadium.

It’s a chance to see the most famous sites of one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

A stop over in the most African town in South America

After 2 days in Rio, you will set off to Salvador de Bahia, the African part of Brazil known as the capital of alegria (joy).

Here you will be enchanted by the rich perfumes of the delicious local cooking and the batucada rhythms resonating down the colorful streets leading to the Praca da Se, the centre of Afro-Brazilian culture.

You can also enjoy the town’s 50kms of beaches, perfect for a little last minute relaxation.

Day 1 : Iguaçu/ in

Flight & arrival at Iguacu airport.

After collecting your bags, your chauffeur will take you to your hotel.
Check-in and room allocation.

Afternoon

A 3hr. guided visit of the Iguacu Falls from the Brazilian side.

You can round the visit off with the Macuco Safari option (contact us for a quote) where you can get right up close to the falls in big powerful zodiac boats, thrills guaranteed!

Return to the hotel at end of the afternoon.

Night at the hotel.

The Argentinian side of the Iguaçu falls.

Day 2 : Iguaçu/Rio de Janeiro

Brazilian buffet breakfast at the hotel.

Morning

3hr visit of the Iguacu falls from the Argentine side with a guide.

You will cross the border between Brazil and Argentina and reach the falls by walking down a series of bridges and paths taking you as close as possible to the cascades and in particular the famous Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s throat).

At the end of the day, transfer to the airport and flight to Rio de Janeiro.

Arrival in Rio de Janeiro, private transfer to your hotel.

Day 3 : Rio de Janeiro

Brazilian buffet breakfast at the hotel.

Morning

Sugar Loaf Mountain visit with a guide, a chauffeur and vehicle. Once at the Urca quarter you will take the first of two cable cars to the top of Morro da Urca then a second cable car to the top of “Pao de Açucar” to admire the 360° panoramic view of the “Wonderful city” and its bay. Return to the hotel with the chauffeur.

Afternoon: choice of activities.
As an extra we can provide a chauffeur and car for half a day (4hrs). Numerous visits are possible (Tijuca forest, town centre, museums, markets, favelas or shanty towns, beaches, etc. (ask us for a quote).

Night at the hotel

Day 4 : Rio de Janeiro/Salvador de Bahia

Brazilian buffet breakfast at the hotel.

Morning visit of Corcovado (Christ the redeemer) with a guide.
Departure from your hotel in a car or mini van crossing the Tijuca forest before reaching the foot of the statue, then a few metres on foot with your guide before discovering the amazing view that stretches out before you.

Free afternoon of activities, you can go on an extra visit (see explanation on previous day)

Evening

Transfer to Rio de Janeiro airport and flight to Salvador de Bahia.

Arrival in Salvador de Bahia. Transfer to hotel.
Check-in and night at hotel.

Day 5 : Salvador de Bahia

Brazilian buffet breakfast at the hotel.

Morning

Half day visit on foot of the historic town centre with a guide.

You will visit the Pelourinho quarter, the historical centre of Salvador which retraces the town’s history from its colonial beginning to today. Then you will go down to the harbour to the Mercado Modelo with its handicraft shops and local produce.

Afternoon free to relax or go shopping, you can also visit a museum or enjoy the beaches instead.

Day 6 : Salvador/Manaus

Brazilian buffet breakfast at the hotel.

Morning

Panoramic tour of Salvador, with a guide, lasting 4hrs to see the main monuments of the lower part of town, such as the Mont Serrat fort, the Ribeira, the famous Bonfim church and the Barra lighthouse.

Afternoon, a chauffeur will drive you to the airport.

Flight to Manaus.

Arrival in Manaus, transfer and check-in at your hotel.

Night at hotel.

Day 7 : Manaus/Juma Lodge

Morning: transfer to the port.

You will set off by boat to cross the river Amazon. On the way, you will pass from the black waters of the Rio Negro to the murky waters of the Rio Solimoes. You will then continue on land to another river where you will take a second boat to reach the Juma Lodge. It is an exciting 3 hour trip and a first encounter with the Amazon forest.

Arrival and check-in at the Lodge.

Start of your stay in the forest with full board (drinks not incl.).

Dinner and night at the lodge.

Day 8 : Juma Lodge

You will spend the day in the forest and on the river with local guides who will show you the secrets of this unique ecosystem with lots of different activities and excursions.

For example, canoe trips to see the fauna and flora, night safaris, piranha fishing and forest exploration.

Day 9 : Juma Lodge / Manaus / out

Transfer & return to Manaus in the morning (4hrs).
