My wife and I have just finished a 3 night cruise on the Rio Negro on a private boat.
We are very happy with the experience, here is our feedback:
Organization:
– I had very good communication with Pierre at Brazil Selection. He was able to respond quickly to any questions we had. Pre/post cruise communication was good too. All the services were punctual.
Guide:
– Deuzimar, our guide, is very competent and we felt safe with him. He knows everyone and interacts with the locals. His French is good and he likes a joke. He takes pleasure in explaining details, we in listening to them.
Cruise schedule
– The schedule was respected and we were always able to chat with the guide to do what interested us the most. The program was busy but a few well-placed nap breaks allowed us to keep up.
Boat / crew
– The private boat is really a pleasant luxury. A bedroom with toilet / shower and a second floor to enjoy the scenery. Each member of the crew is smiling and always there to lend a hand. The Marie cuisine was a treat and the choice of food very varied. We shared fantastic moments at meal times. The skipper is an ace at the helm of the small boat!

Conclusion
10/10

We are really happy with our experience. Lifetime memories, unforgettable encounters and lots of laughter. We felt welcomed by people happy to show us their country and a sense of tourism respectful of the locals.
