Special Conditions for Brazil Selection Travel

Reservation and payment conditions

Here is the contractual information for the sale of our trips: a trip is considered as pre-confirmed upon receipt of a deposit to be defined according to the services booked, but it is in general 30% of the total price of the trip. It corresponds to the value of pre-payments of services and accommodation with our service providers. However, the reservation can only be definitively confirmed to the extent of the availability of services at the time of receipt of payment. The balance of the costs will have to reach our account at least 15 days before the beginning of your vacation.

Cancellation Fees

If cancelled more than 60 days before departure, 15% of the total amount of the trip is due. However, this value may vary if one of the stages of the stay is the subject of a special clause required for the reservation of rooms (this being, of course, communicated to the customer during the booking and then the confirmation).

From 60 to 30 days before departure: 30% of the amount of the trip is due.

From 29 to 15 days before departure: 50% of the amount of the trip is due.

From 14 to 7 days before departure: 75% of the amount of the trip is due.

Less than 7 days before departure: 100% of the price of the trip is due.

A trip interrupted by the passenger does not give rise to any refund from Brazil Selection, whatever the reason. We strongly advise you to take a specialized insurance for your trip. Find further down the contact details of a company offering this insurance service.

Exceptional Cases

In the case of external events, unpredictable during the confirmation (natural disaster, social and political instabilities) that make it impossible to carry out the services, Brazil Selection reserves the right to modify the services or a route, without the customer being able to claim a refund.

Any cancellation will include the reimbursement of the trip, minus the value corresponding to the payments already made to our service providers if a deposit has already been paid.

Price changes

The change in the number of participants automatically leads to a readjustment of the price per participant. The prices listed on the site are estimates of low season prices in Euros based on the current Euro / Real exchange. These are in no way firm and definitive prices, they are offered as an indication.

Our service prices are subject to change depending on the evolution of the exchange rate between the Euro and the Real. A readjustment of these will take place if the variation is greater than or equal to 3% between the date of the confirmation of stay and that of the balance of payment.

Apart from variations in exchange rates, a price can also increase without notice, our Hotels and service providers sometimes inform us of price changes at the last moment. However, these last-minute changes are very rare and we do our best to maintain our prices.

Insurances

Cancellation, loss of luggage, medical expenses, hospitalization, repatriation and events that occur rarely but for which it is good to be covered.

For all the reasons stated above, we expressly commit our customers to take out insurance coverage: cancellation fees, luggage, medical expenses on site and repatriation costs.

Risks & Responsibilities of Brazil Selection

Every trip has some inherent risks in its realization.

Brazil Selection has developed tours and packages by selecting the best hotels, carriers and suppliers possible, however Brazil Selection does not own or directly manage any of these service providers and assumes no liability for any delay, loss, accident or personal injury caused by any person or company providing the reserved services.

If, however, a service is not provided by a failure or omission of one of our service providers, we undertake to reimburse our client for the amount of the non-provided service, if, on the other hand, the service is not provided because of an external event to the supplier’s service (plane delay, bad weather, interruption of traffic, etc.), the customer will not be able to claim any refund. Brazil Selection is however committed to doing its utmost to find alternative solutions.

All participants in a Brazil Selection trip are aware of the risks involved in travelling to Brazil, for example due to the distance of emergency facilities such as hospitals during some of our packages and tours. As a result, they undertake to assume these risks and to release Brazil Selection and its service providers from all liability to the extent that Brazilian tourism legislation is respected.

The driving of buggies, among others, is the subject of special liability clauses, which are communicated to the customer if he chooses this service.

In this spirit, all participants also agree to respect the safety rules and instructions provided by the service providers during the activities sold by Brazil Selection. Brazil Selection can under no circumstances be held responsible for the consequences of individual or collective imprudence of the participants and reserves the right to cancel, interrupt or withdraw one or more participants from an activity if it is considered that one or more of the participants compromises the security of the participants. In this case there will be no refund of the non-performed activity.

Obtaining visas or vaccinations necessary or recommended for a stay in Brazil is the traveller’s responsibility. Any delay or refusal to perform an activity due to a breach of mandatory formalities for a stay in Brazil can not be charged to Brazil Selection and will not be subject to any refund. Attention, a validity of 6 months minimum for a passport is required to be able to enter Brazil.

Luggage

The luggage of each participant is under the direct responsibility of the participants, and if they decide to leave it under the responsibility of a third party during the trip, they do so assuming all possible risks.
