Explore one of the world’s magnificent natural wonders

The Iguazu Falls are a must-see natural wonder in Brazil. Join our package tour to uncover this awe-inspiring site boasting over 275 waterfalls spanning the river which forms a natural border between Brazil and Argentina. Nestled within the heart of “Mata Paraense”, the largest subtropical forest in the Americas, this magnificent location is a true gem of Latin America.

The falls rest upon an immense geological divide spanning 2700m, formed over 200,000 years ago due to significant tectonic plate movements. These movements also gave rise to the Guaíra Falls, once hailed as the world’s most imposing cascade until 1982, when it was submerged under the waters of the colossal Itaipu dam.

Located on the border between Brazil and Argentina, the site attracts visitors from both sides. Each side offers a unique experience, complementing the other perfectly and ensuring a fantastic overall adventure.

On the Argentinian side, you can journey to the foot of the falls and marvel at them from above. Experience the sheer power of the famous “Devil’s Throat” up close. On the Brazilian side, you’ll enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of numerous cascades rushing between the rocks.

For an added thrill, embark on the Macuco Safari to venture to the very base of the falls and hear their thunderous roar! Cruise up the Iguazu River aboard powerful “RIB” boats, immersing yourself in the heart of the rainforest for an adrenaline-pumping adventure.

Explore Latin America’s largest bird sanctuary, “Parque das Aves”, spanning over 5 hectares of aviaries where tropical birds roam freely. Encounter toucans, parrots, and over 150 species up close—a unique opportunity for learning and an enchanting encounter with wildlife!

Cap off your journey with a visit to one of the seven wonders of the modern world: the monumental Itaipu Dam. Take a boat ride to admire the sunset reflecting on the reservoir’s vast waters, spanning over 1300 km²—a testament to twentieth-century engineering and a breathtaking spectacle not to be missed.

A two night stay, ideal to immersing yourself in the atmosphere of your Iguazu falls tour

The Iguazu Falls stand as a colossal natural spectacle, where torrents of water cascade from the depths of the jungle within the heart of Iguazu National Park. Stretching nearly three kilometers wide in a magnificent horseshoe shape, these falls divide the river between Brazil and Argentina. With 19 primary falls, each bearing its own name, you’ll explore 14 of them during your visit to the Argentinian side. The remaining 5 will unveil their splendor during your excursion in Brazil.

The National Park itself is an extraordinary place, renowned as perhaps the best-preserved subtropical forest in the country. It teems with wildlife, including a plethora of birds whose melodious songs will serenade your visit. Along the way, you’re likely to encounter other fascinating inhabitants of the park, such as the playful Coatis. These tropical raccoons are known for their mischievous antics, so be sure to keep a watchful eye on your belongings!

The forces of nature at play in this extraordinary place are truly astonishing: during flood periods, the flow can surpass 40 million liters of water per second, equivalent to 11 Olympic swimming pools! This staggering figure vividly demonstrates the immense scale of this natural wonder. It’s impossible to remain indifferent to such a spectacle; every visitor is awestruck by the breathtaking beauty and overwhelming power emanating from the falls.

During the visits, you’ll stroll along several kilometers of footbridges weaving between the falls and massive boulders. Explore small islands offering vistas that would otherwise remain inaccessible. Thanks to excellent infrastructure, you can delve into the heart of this enchanting setting and leave the outside world behind. As you traverse the lower walkways, water surges several tens of meters high, its force at the base of each waterfall creating magnificent sprays of foam. The misty veils unveil breathtaking halos of rainbow colors, imbuing the landscape with a magical ambiance. Departing from Iguazu, you’ll carry with you the satisfaction of having experienced something truly unforgettable—a memory to cherish for a lifetime!

Add the Macuco Safari to your Iguazu falls tour

The Macuco Safari promises to be one of the most unforgettable highlights of your stay, blending a forest trek with an exhilarating ride aboard a powerboat. It offers a completely unique perspective of the falls, coupled with an introduction to the region’s characteristic subtropical forest.

Your adventure begins with an exploration of the lush plant and animal life within Iguaçu National Park, comfortably seated in a specialized, electric all terrain vehicle. Over approximately 3 km, you’ll marvel at this immaculately preserved environment, a testament to the work of the National Park, which was established in 1934. The final 500m of the journey is on foot, meandering along a forest path immersed in this pristine natural landscape. Your destination awaits at the banks, where you’ll embark on the incredible boat journey to the base of the waterfalls.

After donning your life jacket, you’ll board a twin-engine boat specially crafted for this type of activity. Seated comfortably, you’ll head upstream to the canyon. Guided by skilled professionals, the boat gracefully maneuvers through the current, delivering you to a vantage point offering a unique perspective of these majestic waterfalls. The pinnacle of the journey is beneath the falls themselves—surrounded by the thunderous roar and powerful rush of water, you’ll experience the sheer might of nature, an unforgettable memory of your time here!

A word of caution! A raincoat won’t suffice for this excursion; it’s best to wear a swimsuit and store your clothing in the rentable lockers on-site, or wear fully waterproof attire and bring a change of clothes. Similarly, only waterproof electronic equipment such as cameras is advisable.

Visit the tropical bird sanctuary and the immense Itaipu dam

The Iguazu Bird Park offers a truly unique experience where humans and animals can interact in harmony! Located just in front of the entrance to the Falls Park, it provides a peaceful and exotic retreat after the excitement of the Macuco Safari.

During your visit, explore vast bird sanctuaries where you can stroll among hundreds of multicolored birds fluttering freely by your side. Marvel at the dedicated enclosure showcasing the macaws, renowned for their vibrant and iridescent plumage. Delve into the aviary dedicated to birds of the Pantanal region, home to red ibis, toucans, and the curious mutuns with their ruffled crests, all representing the biodiversity of the Atlantic Forest.

For reptile enthusiasts, the “Covil dos Répteis” houses iguanas, crocodiles, and snakes, including the renowned anaconda—one of the largest species in the world! Brave travelers can even pose with some of these animals, capturing a souvenir worthy of the region’s greatest explorers.

The Itaipu Dam, a colossal hydroelectric power station spanning the Paraná River between Brazil and Paraguay, forms an arch 7 km wide and 225m high. The creation of its reservoir submerged the largest cataracts in the world, the “Sete Quedas” or Guaíra Falls. Constructed over 8 years, the project involved over 40,000 workers enduring challenging weather conditions, including heat waves and heavy rains.

Listed among the seven wonders of the modern world by the American Society of Civil Engineers, the dam boasts remarkable feats of engineering. For perspective, the maximum flow of two of its water releases equals the total flow of the Iguazu Falls! Its annual electricity production could power a country the size of France for over two and a half months. Visiting this site offers a glimpse into the remarkable ingenuity of humanity.
